Introducing the Indigenous Cannabis Product (ICP) Program
We’re proud to introduce the Indigenous Cannabis Product (ICP) program, which aims to support Indigenous cannabis producers’ participation in the cannabis market by highlighting their products to customers.
What are Indigenous Cannabis Products?
Licensed producers can register their products for participation in the ICP program. The designation applies to licensed cannabis cultivators and processors that have at least 51% Indigenous ownership.

Frequently Asked Questions
To participate in the ICP program, the following criteria must be met:
- Producer (cultivator/processor) must have at least 51% Indigenous ownership.
- Producer must have active and appropriate cannabis licenses.
- Each product must be sourced from an eligible cultivator or be processed by an eligible processor.
- Producer must complete, sign and submit the ICP Application Registration form for review and approval.
The ICP program will identify and highlight cannabis products produced by Indigenous cultivators and processors so that retailers can highlight the Indigenous cannabis products in-store and online to retail customers.
Either the cultivator must be Indigenous-owned, or the processor must be Indigenous-owned for their products to be eligible for the program.
The Indigenous cannabis producer must complete, sign and submit a registration form.
Once registered with the ICP program, the producers products will be flagged as an Indigenous cannabis product with the ICP program logo.
